Part 1|neutral lab 10th Anniversary Talk & Hietori Experience
A quiet evening to reflect on neutral lab’s 10-year journey.
Founder and designer, Tomoe Mineta shares how neutral lab was born, the wisdom passed down from her mother and ancestors, and a new intention for the next cycle.
Within this gentle circle, we will experience HIETORI — a Japanese wellness method — upon request.
This will be a chair-free gathering. You are welcome to stand or sit on a mat.
If sitting, we kindly ask that you remove your shoes. Feel free to bring a yoga block or cushion for comfortable floor seating.
Comfortable clothing made of natural materials is highly recommended for the full experience.
Silk/wool socks and hot water bottles will be available in limited quantities for the HIETORI experience.
Fist collection was born in 2013 under designer’s mother’s guidance of natural plant dye with local plants in Azumino, Nagano.
Japanese holistic wellness philosophy, Hietori. “Warm feet, cold head” & JJ :)
Part 2|Vocal Sound Bath inspired by Kojiki 古事記
A meditative vocal sound journey guided by Japanese sound artists, Megumi Toyama and Tomoko Ueki inspired by Kojiki 古事記 - Japan’s oldest mythology.
Recalling the goddess who lured Amaterasu 天照大御神, the sun deity, from the cave, we sing together to awaken the light — and open the possibilities within.
Part 3|Mindful Tastings
A small, mindful offering of food and drink rooted in the wisdom of Japanese ancestral food traditions. All items are plant-based and prepared without sugar or artificial seasonings (except for some miso bombs, which contain katsuobushi – dried bonito flakes).
